ABOUT HILDA MARIE
Hilda Marie is an Ordained Interfaith Minister, who also holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology. She has over 35 years of experience in providing group, individual, and family counseling services and spiritual guidance in a wide variety of clinical settings.
My Journey
“At the age of 3, I discovered that I had certain abilities which set me apart from my siblings and peers. At the time, I was too young to understand that I had been given a gift. Often, I saw my abilities as a curse, in a setting where there was no one to help me navigate these gifts. My greatest wish was to be “normal”. Seeing the unseeable and knowing the unknowable was a confusing and frightening experience. It would take a journey of a thousand miles to recognize these as blessings and embrace my gifts.
Education
I pursued 2 degrees in psychology and my intuitive and empathic abilities were channeled into a socially acceptable healing modality. Always, I was drawn to working with women and children who had experienced trauma. Their emotional, physical and spiritual pain resonated with the stories and traumas of my ancestors. I soon discovered that I was an empath and that I felt others’ pain; it was not so that I should suffer, but to clearly intuit where to direct healing words and energy.
